This heavy-duty locking nut is used on the main suspension pivot bolt, securing the axle trailing arm and pivot bush assembly within the suspension hanger. The pivot connection is a critical structural joint that allows the suspension arm to articulate while maintaining the correct axle position and alignment beneath the trailer.
The nut has an M30 × 3.5 thread and requires a 46mm socket/spanner. It is designed for use with the SAF axle pivot bolt, eccentric tracking washer, thrust washer and pivot bush assembly.
